Ted

My husband and I are looking to rehome our Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler), Ted. This has been a very difficult decision for us, but we want to make sure he ends up in a home that can truly meet his needs.
Ted is about 5 years old, weighs around 55 lbs, and is up to date on his vaccines. He is not neutered. He originally belonged to my husband’s father, and when he passed away we took Ted in so he would have a home.
Ted is extremely energetic and very affectionate with people. He loves attention and does great with humans. He is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands.
However, Ted has shown some dog reactivity/dog aggression. Because we currently have two other dogs, managing the interactions has become very difficult. For that reason, Ted would likely do best as the only dog in the home or with someone experienced with the breed.
We are not sure how he does with cats or young children.
Ideally we would love to find him a permanent home.
