Barry

Barry is a German Shepherd who is very loving and attached to his people. At home he is super sweet, likes being close to people, loves getting pets, and will happily follow you around the house. He also really likes treats and playing fetch. If you throw a ball, he’ll keep bringing it back and asking you to throw it again.

When he was younger, he went through some basic training and knows commands like sit, shake, and “go to your bed.” He is house trained and overall pretty well behaved inside the home.

Barry can get nervous outside around unfamiliar dogs and busy environments, so he needs someone experienced with larger dogs who can confidently handle him on walks. Because of this, he would probably do best as the only dog in the home. He previously lived with a cat he grew up with, but slow introductions with other animals would still be important.

A home with a fenced yard would be amazing for him since he enjoys playing outside and it helps avoid stressful situations with unfamiliar dogs in public areas.

Barry is neutered, microchipped, and has a current rabies vaccine. He’s generally healthy, but he does have a sensitive stomach, so keeping his diet simple and consistent works best for him.

He’s a really loyal dog and has a lot of love to give to the right person.
