Nyla

Nyla is a beautiful 6 year old APBT with a lot of love to give! Shy to near people but warms up fast and once she loves you she will be snuggly, want to play ball and go on hikes and sleep by your feet every night! She is medium energy, loves to run around her yard all day but also enjoys her lazy lounging on the couch all day days. She would do best with a fenced in yard, as an only pet.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: She has come so far! She was rescued from a neglectful situation without regular food/water and a collar that was so small it started growing into her skin and had to be cut out. She used to not be able to be pet anywhere but her head, would growl when eating near others, bad at playing with toys. But now she loves her belly rubs and snuggles, we can take the food bowl right out from under her without a second look, and she constantly is bringing us toys to play with her!
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: She needs to be an only pet! She needs more attention, she is a great loving dog but she’s become a bit jealous between the other animals so that’s most important. Experienced dog owner would be best! She has lots of quirks but she’s become is worth working through. She does great with our young children since they were born (2 1/2 & 5 months) but we’ve taught them as early as possible about boundaries and how to correctly engage with animals!
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Pet Behavior
Details about rehoming reason (if needed): Has lived with our cats and dog since we’ve gotten her, will snuggle on the couch with cats & plays all day on the yard with our other dog but has recently showed aggressive signs that she is no longer thriving in our environment and would do best as an only dog!
