We are seeking a safe and appropriate placement for our 8-year-old pitbull due to behavioral challenges that we are no longer able to safely manage in our home with small children.
She is a deeply loving, affectionate, and loyal dog with the adults she knows and trusts. She enjoys cuddling, movie nights, walks, and being close to her people. In a calm, structured environment, she can be an incredible companion.
However, she has a long history of resource guarding around food, treats, toys, and other high-value items, as well as several serious fights with other dogs in the household over the years. We have worked extensively to manage these behaviors, including professional training and strict management routines, but we no longer feel we can provide the level of control and environment she needs.
Because of her history, she would need to be the only pet in an experienced, adult-only home or placed with a rescue experienced in behavioral dogs. Our priority is finding the safest and most compassionate outcome possible for her.

She has fought and bit other dogs numerous times. She must be only pet in household. She’s has never bitten a person, but she does get anxious with some strangers (not all). She will growl if you touch her while eating.
