Blu

In search of a special home for our sweet dog, Blu.

This is a hard post for us to write. Blu is a one-year-old Pitt/Australian Cattle Dog mix who is loving, loyal, and eager to connect. We truly love her, which makes this decision difficult.

Blu is high-energy, very smart, and trained. She has completed two rounds of companion puppy training and intensive work with a professional trainer. She responds well to structure, consistency, and clear communication. She will thrive in the right environment.

Unfortunately, our home isn't that kind of place. With three cats, another dog, kids, and busy schedules, there is constant activity that makes it hard for Blu to feel secure. She does best with a consistent setting and follow-through with training, which we haven't been able to provide.

Blu does have reactivity with other dogs, so she would likely be best as the only dog (no cats), or with an experienced owner who can continue her training with care. She is leash trained, has good recall, and is up to date on all veterinary care.

Her ideal home would be with an active owner who can provide regular exercise and focused attention—someone who understands her breeds and sees her potential. In the right home, Blu will be a devoted companion.

We are committed to taking the time to find the right home. Due to her reactivity, we need to place her in a home and avoid rescues. If you're curious, have questions, or know someone who may be a good fit, please reach out. Happy to arrange a meet-and-greet and discuss her strengths and challenges.
