Hi everyone, my name is Zena. I am five years old and filled with so much life! I identify as a friendly land shark but born as a Blue-Nose Pitbull/German Shepard mix.
My first and only family I have ever loved adopted me from a rescue shelter in CT that helped me and my entire family from horrible living standards down in GA and have loved caring for me ever since I was a puppy. I have built so much trust and love with them over the past 5 years but sadly, I can no longer live with my current family anymore as they have unexpected living changes happening and I will now need to find a new forever home. My current family has many small children ranging from the ages of 18-9 years old, two cats and another small puppy who I love VERY MUCH. It is in my nature to protect my family and couldn’t see it any other way. I am very content where I am and will need some time to adjust with my new family, due to the sadness I may experience not being with them anymore. I am a rather large breed and prefer to have a large amount of space and land to roam freely on. I might not be as social with other dogs but overtime and with a little work, this could change. In the past, I have had many fur friends, including a previous dog friend who had recently passed away and two bunnies that I loved very much and were very gentle with. I do bark at new faces and take some time building trust with people but if you show me your loving side, I will show and give it back!
My family cares so much for me that they are avoiding having me live in a shelter again and would love to meet you in person to see if we are a perfect fit! As a bonus, I love milk bones and all kinds of dog snacks, especially deer antlers. If you feel I am a perfect fit for your family, please reach out to my human Mommy, Sarah and come and meet me.
Warm regards,
Zena <3
