Meet Melody – A Sweet, Sensitive Girl Looking for Her Perfect Home ❤️
Melody is a beautiful rescue girl with a huge heart and even bigger energy. She absolutely loves going for walks, running, car rides, and spending time outside. She would thrive with a family who enjoys being active and has a secure yard where she can safely play and explore. Melody can jump very high and gets excited around people, so she may need continued training with greetings and boundaries.
Underneath all that energy is a very timid, sensitive soul. Melody came from a previous home where she spent much of her time kenneled, and because of that she still carries fear and anxiety. She paces when nervous and often needs reassurance to feel safe. The place she feels most comfortable is cuddled up close with someone she trusts. She is truly a love bug and wants affection and connection more than anything.
Melody is wonderful with people and has never shown aggression toward humans. She is incredibly sweet and loving. She can be around smaller dogs but does best as the only pet in the home. Living with another dog has been stressful for her, and unfortunately fights have occurred between her and my other dog that have resulted in injuries. Melody is not comfortable sharing her home and would do best in a calm environment where she doesn’t have to compete for attention. She is not accustomed to cats and will chase them, so a cat-free home is best.
She is also a little picky with food and may need patience while adjusting to a new routine. Melody needs someone who understands that she is still learning how to feel safe and who will give her time, consistency, and love.
This is an incredibly difficult decision because Melody is deeply loved. I want what is best for her, and I believe her best chance to thrive is with a patient family who has no other pets and can give her the attention, stability, and affection she deserves.
If you are looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and are willing to give her the love and security she’s been missing, Melody may be your girl
