Sugar is 14 years old (spayed). She’s been my roommate since she was 9 months old experienced all sorts of milestones with me. She has always been petite- she’s about 5 pounds. Sugar would benefit from a home with no young children (think preschool aged or younger). She loves cuddling with her humans, so she would also benefit from someone who often works from home or can spend a lot of time with her.
She had a lot of difficulty adapting to my second child being born and has started having behavioral issues (inappropriate soiling) on the children’s toys for attention seeking behaviors. For this reason we are hoping to rehome her. She is a very sweet cat, but her jealousy is no longer safe around our young children.
She has been living in a home with another cat since summer 2015 and with a dog since summer 2016. She took some time to adjust to the dog(s) in her life, so i think at this point in her life she would benefit from being a single pet.
We have taken her to the vet many times and she does not have a UTI or any other illnesses that may contribute to inappropriate soiling. She does have one small kidney, for which she is recommended a renal diet (hill’s brand).
