Otter

Meet Otter!

Otter is a handsome 1.5-year-old Akita/Pit Bull mix looking for a loving new home. He was our mom’s dog, and after her recent passing, my siblings and I have made the difficult decision to rehome him since we’re all away at school and can’t give him the time he deserves.

Otter is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being with his people. He would do best with someone who is home often and has a large, securely fenced yard. Because he’s a big dog and gets excited when greeting people, he may not be the best fit for a home with young children.

He currently lives with two dogs he was raised with and gets along well with them, but we’re unsure how he does with unfamiliar dogs. He also has some anxiety and can be nervous at the vet, where he has tried to nip during vaccinations. At home, he is loving and doesn’t show aggressive behavior.

This is an incredibly hard decision, and we just want to find Otter a home where he’ll receive all the love, patience, and care he deserves.
