Shasta

Meet Shasta: a two-year-old, 35-pound border collie / blue heeler mix filled to the brim with play, affection, and love. He's a wonderful dog, but since having our baby 6 months ago it's become clear that unfortunately we can no longer offer this sweet, high-energy boy the time and attention he deserves. We’re looking for a new person or family who has the time, energy, and care to provide him with his next loving home.

The right fit for Shasta:
Has the time, energy, and love needed for a high-energy dog.
Is excited to care for an intelligent dog who’s most satisfied when he has consistent companionship and engagement.
Is able to provide consistent exercise, such as daily walks/hikes and fetch sessions (he LOVES fetch).
Has a fenced in yard for him to roam around, or even a farm where he has a job or can run around all day.
Ideally has another dog or dogs that love to play.

Shasta is:
High-energy and highly affectionate.
Great with other dogs (has lived with another male dog for 2 years) and people of all ages, including kids.
Very intelligent and learns very quickly.
Super cuddly, especially after a full day.
Trained on basic commands - sit, down, stay, come, etc.
Good off leash and has good recall.
Neutered and up to date on vaccines and vet visits, although he is due for his next round of shots in August.

Please reach out to us if you’re interested in learning more or scheduling a meet-and-greet. We're hoping to find his new home by mid-August, but we’ll take all the time we need to find the right fit.
