Poopy

Dubbed "A Very Handsome Boy" by every vet he's seen, Poopy (a.k.a. P-man, Pooperz, Poopsie, or simply Poop) is in need of a new family.

We’ve made the difficult decision to rehome him because our multi-cat household is causing him undue stress. We’ll be taking time to find the right home for him with a person or family we’re certain will love him as much as we do. This little guy brings much more than a fun name. He’s smart, athletic, and somewhat chatty; he responds to his name and lets you know when he needs or wants something. He’s an explorer and absolutely LIVES to play fetch. While he has plenty of fun energy, he balances it beautifully with naptime.

We’d like Poopy to go to a home with experienced cat owners who don’t have other pets or small children. He needs to be an only cat, as he's lived with others and has only ever tolerated or disliked them. He has no experience with dogs or kids, but because he maintains clear boundaries around petting and handling, a home without them is ideal.

While his only outdoor experience has been on enclosed porches, he would love to frolic in a secure yard.

Poopy is a healthy 8-year-old boy! He’s litter box trained, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He has just 2 medication needs for anxiety: Prozac (daily, though this may be tentative once he’s in a calmer, single-pet environment) and Gabapentin (as needed for vet visits or transitions). Additionally, he’s on a preventative prescription diet for urinary health due to one past episode of urinary crystals.
