Moe is a handsome adult tabby w tan and black strips. He is 12 years old and has always lived w his mom (Phoebe, who’s also available for adoption). He is a sweet, gentle cat who is very much a “people cat”. He can be found in close vicinity to us most of the time. When we are sitting around he will either come sit alongside us or jump in our laps. When sleeping he is often cuddled up w his mom. He thinks of himself as a master hunter… he gets excited when birds are at the birdfeeder, or if bugs are in the house. He can be quick… he’s been known to catch flies better than we can.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
If he could be adopted out along w his mom, Phoebe it would be great as they have always been together. But it’s not mandatory. I don’t think he’d do well in a home w dogs. I’m unsure how he’d do w other cats.

My husband and I are retired and on a fixed income. Both of our cats eat a prescription diet d/t sensitive stomachs. Prescription cat food is pricey. Also, being retired we would like to travel, including across country to see our kids and grandkids. Cat sitters are expensive. Between the cost of food, occas vet visits and pet sitters the overall cost of their care has become prohibitive.
