My name is Katie, and my husband and I just welcomed a baby boy in June. We currently have a two year old 86 pound lab/pit mix named Chief, and we are having some concerns about our future with both the dog and the baby. We absolutely adore Chief, but as much as it devastates us, we are just not sure he is a good fit for a home with a baby/toddler. Chief is a great dog 95% of the time and we have worked with at home trainers to improve his behaviors. He does well with sit, going to his "place", does great at doggie day care with other dogs, and is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet. Unfortunately, he does resource guard once in a while which is where our trepidations stem from.
