Do you need a furry friend to follow you everywhere you go, be active with, and who will be completely in love with every person you love? Chelsea is your girl. She is equal parts cattledog, kelpie and border collie! So basically she has Olympian athlete potential. But don’t let that fool you - she settles really well and enjoys lounging in the sun.
She’s very smart and independent but loves to cuddle. She’s bonds through work, training and routine. She does great at the vet, is crate trained, and multiple sitters have said she’s the easiest dog they’ve ever watched!
She is submissive and shy when she’s nervous and sometimes startles easy from excessive barking (from other dogs) or in big packs of dogs. Dog parks and daycare aren’t her favorite. She loves playing 1:1 with most dogs and when it comes to cats, she chases them in the backyard but is very scared of them when she visits at petsmart. She also loves car rides and has even had a few flights! At her core she is confident, adventurous and full of love.
**would recommend fencing of at least 5-6 ft as she’s incredibly fast and athletic. She jumped a 2ft fence a couple times (understandably) but I wouldn’t put it past her to go higher with enough drive and momentum. I would also practice / train off leash before trying! We’ve done it a few times and she’s pretty good until she sees a bunny or cat so we don’t do it anymore

she had a bad injury at daycare summer 2025 and would sometimes have allergic reactions but hasn’t had 1 since we stopped going to daycare. If her snout is swollen, she needs to go to ER one time she also went into anaphylactic shock. But like I said, we’ve not had any allergic reactions since we stopped going to daycare a year ago

Chelsea tends to pull on her leash but does well when you stop and then continue. She pulls most first thing in the morning and when new people / new places. But like I said, she picks up really fast if you just stop every time she pulls but you have to be consistent! She also has some mild dog reactivity (excitement based non aggressive) and will sometimes try to lunge or jump on nearby dog. It’s kind of unpredictable but because of this, we tend to switch sidewalks and not get too close to other dogs when we are on leash
