Toby

Mini Aussie / Hanging Tree mix

Toby is the ultimate best-friend dog. Hes the first to greet me when i come home every day and is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he gets to be part of adventures - any adventure. He has high energy and really thrives with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

He loves:

Going on walks and hikes

SWIMMING

Playing fetch

Exploring and being active

Curling up on the couch for a good snuggle and a show

Toby is crate trained. Toby loves to swim and could play fetch in the water for hours. He also loves catching snowballs in his mouth. On long hikes he will look back and run bach at you to say thank you. He does pull on leash, but does much better with a Gentle Leader. He has done okay with kids, although he hasn't had a ton of exposure to them. (Recently when overwhelmed by screaming children taking toys out of his toy bin and throwing them around he ran off and got in his crate in the other room)

Toby has been reactive toward other dogs in the past. (When we adopted our other dog he learned some aggression - we did A lot of training and they are both generally good now) While he has improved, he can still get overly excited around dogs and may try to hump at the dog park. He tends to be more bark than bite, but because of his history, we want to be upfront that he would benefit from someone who understands dog behavior and can continue working with him. (Also he does much better when he is physically and mentally engaged, he is eager to please and likes learning mew tricks)
