I am sad to say that I am looking for a new home for my beloved son Lumi. I adopted Lumi and his sister Coop from my coworker who had found them outside of their neighbor's house with no mother in sight. I would keep Lumi and Coop if I could, but I'm moving cross country and won't be able to take them with me. At first I didn't want to separate the two, but I found a good home for Coop, and I think Lumi has specific needs that Coop can sometimes either get in the way of, or not meet. Lumi is a Maine Coon mix with lots of energy. He can be vocal, he loves to eat and have treats, but he also loves to play with his fishing pole toy, red dot lasers, and other cats and humans. Lumi is a big boy! I've had lots of friends try to say he's fat, but he's just very big boned and has lots of muscle and fur, He jumps extremely high when we play and can run very fast (and dominate his little sister constantly). He has a slightly curious personality but is also surprisingly timid and cautious for his size. He is extremely silly, loves to talk back, loves attention and belly rubs, and overall is a wonderful and loving cat. The only negative he has is that he sometimes marks his territory when his needs aren't met. I've noticed he only marks and pees outside the litter box when the litter box is full. Lumi is an indoor cat and is up to date with all his vaccinations. After living with and taking care of Lumi for the past 3 years, I've learned that he does require a good amount of attention, especially in the play category. I think Lumi would do very well in a family household. I live by myself and am constantly working, so he spends lots of his time alone. He also loves to play rough/aggressively with other animals, and I think he would do very well in a household with a dog of some sort. He's never once shown a sign of aggression or hostility towards any living creature, not even a hiss. He will actually run away and hide before he shows any hostility. There is so much more to Lumi than what will fit in this description, and I'm happy to answer any and all questions.
