Jake

Senior Ridgeback in need of home with no kids

Adopted 10 years ago and he is super sweet. Would be perfect for a quiet home. Unfortunately, his old age has brought a dislike for children, and he bit our 16 month old baby (who was climbing on him) three weeks ago. We have a 4.5 year old as well and we simply can't risk this happening again with kids in and out of the house all day. He gets along great with other animals, including cats (he used to share a dog bed with one). He regularly attends doggie daycare without issue. We have no place to take him so I am desperate to find the right home for him- somewhere with no kids, where there aren't a lot of new people coming in and out, and where a person will be home most of the time to comfort and love on him. He loves people and will snuggle all day if you want. He is crate trained, although he will sometimes try to break out and bend the cage. Mostly sleeps all day, but does LOVE to play with our 1.5 year old golden retriever in spurts and at daycare.
