Rose

My wife and I rescued Rose as our first dog back in early 2014. We were told that she was found as a stray and was likely abused before that. She was initially very scared and submissive, and needed to be socialized and house/crate-trained. We even got a second dog in late 2014 to help bring her out of her shell. For the past 4 years, she has made steady improvement, until we welcomed our first baby into the family this year. Now she has regressed to being scared all the time, and we are worried that the stress of having children around is preventing her from having a happy life.

We are seeking a loving and patient family that can give her the stress-free life she deserves. She is great with dogs and cats (they even seem to help!), but she should be with a family without children. She has never shown any signs of aggression, but is timid, especially around strangers, small children, sudden noises, and moving objects.
