About Bella:
-She’s very timid with people, but she does warm up and once she does she is a total lap dog and snuggle-bunny. A quiet, low-traffic, child-free home would be best for her (or possibly older dog-savvy kids would be okay).
-About 55 pounds, great energy level, playful and up for long hikes.
-She likes other dogs and is very playful with them (she does have the hearty pit-bull play style though, so she’d need a tolerant dog friend); however, a dog-free home may be best for her right now as she’s recovering from the trauma of these attacks. (Or possibly a home with a confident, tolerant dog might work too, to help Bella come out of her shell. I think this is going to be a case-by-case basis on the right home/dogs/humans for her).
-Cats: We are unsure; she would need to be cat-tested first.
-Spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations, etc.
This is the kind of dog who would do great with a kind, patient human who could bond with her and help her come out of her shell as she recovers. And speaking from experience, I have to say it is SO rewarding working with sensitive dogs like Bella! And she is SO cute… she has a little bit of Boxer in her too which gives her the cutest profile when she turns her head! She is in Bend, Oregon, so we’re looking for a home in Bend or the surrounding Central Oregon areas (Sisters, Redmond, Prineville, La Pine, etc).
