A dog showed up in our yard in Indianapolis at the end of August, so we're calling her Augusta! We don't know if she was lost or abandoned. She had on a collar and a flea collar, but no tags or microchip. She's a large mixed breed, probably some shepherd and pit bull. The vet says she's 4-6 years old. We got her current on shots and preventative treatments and also got her spayed. She's got some behavioral issues, which make her not-a-good-fit in our home. She pulls when on a leash, and at ~65lbs, that makes walking her difficult. She would do better in a fenced-in yard. She is sweet and affectionate to those she trusts, but can be aggressive with other people, dogs, and cats. She has bitten someone. She's very smart and eager to please, responds well to treats, and with an experienced owner, will be very trainable.
