Gracie

Meet Gracie, a serene and soulful eight-year-old Pittbull/Boxer mix from Rockford, MI, whose quiet strength and sweet heart make her a truly one-of-a-kind companion.

With her soft white coat, tan spot on her face, and gentle gaze, Gracie has a presence that’s both calming and comforting. She weighs around 60 pounds and is of medium build, with a low-energy temperament that makes her an ideal partner for someone seeking a calm and loyal companion. Gracie is 100% deaf—a fact that doesn’t slow her down one bit. In fact, her deafness is a bit of a superpower. She’s completely unfazed by fireworks, thunderstorms, or noisy neighbors and is ready to learn new hand signs if you’d like to rename her!

Gracie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all her vaccinations, and fully house-trained. She knows several hand signals (like “sit” and “come”) and will follow your lead when you point. She’s also crate-trained, leash-trained, and even bell-trained to let you know when she needs to go outside! She loves her routines—two meals a day, a daily walk, and plenty of time lounging on the couch or soaking up the sun through a window.

Gracie is looking for her next loving home where she can be the only pet and live in peace and comfort. She’s reactive toward other dogs and can be food-aggressive in their presence, so a dog-free home with older teens or adults only is best. Though she has no bite history, she’s strong and can be assertive about her space when she feels uncertain, so she’ll thrive with a confident, patient caregiver who can provide structure and stability.

Her favorite pastimes? Sunbathing, cuddling under blankets, people-watching from the window, or curling up next to you on the couch. She would love a fenced yard, but can thrive in an apartment if she has daily walks. She’s also a road trip buddy and beach fan, eager for adventure as long as she’s by your side!

Gracie has been deeply loved all her life. She’s not just a pet—she’s a companion who will give you her whole heart. Are you ready to give her a peaceful, loving place to live out her golden years?
